With the change to the National Series in 2002 to determine the National Points Champion, there was no recognition for the driver who scored the most points over the entire season.

In 2006 it was decreed that this driver would be known as the Grading Points Winner, although there was no prize or trophy, and it was not considered to be a title.

The Grading Points Winner was dropped after 2014.
