Yeovil

Yeovil had a history of greyhound racing dating back to 1932, with rudimentary venues such as parks, fields, and even Yeovil Town football pitch.

In 1946, a £30,000 multi-use sports stadium was built on fields near Larkhill Farm.

Opening in 1947, Larkhill Stadium had a capacity of 20,000 with a sports pitch in the middle of the greyhound track.

With planning permission for houses being granted, the stadium closed in 1972.
