Raced speedway at various tracks in the north of England, and was at Motherwell when the first stock car meeting took place there. Later moved down south. He emigrated to Canada in 1957 and was one of the main people behind the introduction of speedway to Canada. Died 3rd June 2021.

This photo was initially believed to have been taken at Seaforth Stadium in Liverpool, because it came with a handwritten note that said "The guy on the left is Stan Bradbury from Kew Road. I was told the track was at Seaforth". However, there are no records of any meeting taking place at Seaforth. Some incredible analysis of the photos by Neal Bell made a very strong case that this photo, and the others in the same collection, had been taken at Stanley Stadium in Liverpool.
