BriSCA F1 World Championship

The World Championship is the most coveted of all championships - not only is a massive prize fund up for grabs, but the desirable gold roof is awarded to the victor.

This year's World Championship has 17 meetings designated as World Championship Qualifier meetings: Four were held at the end of last season and the others were held this season. The meetings designated as WCQRs are shown on the World Championship fixture list. Points scored at these meetings are totalled up to produce two Semi Final grids (drivers with the highest number of points at the front).

The first 10 finishers from each Semi Final qualified for the sport's flagship race, the World Final - this year held on shale at Kings Lynn on 22 September. The Consolation Semi Final was raced as the first race of the night at Kings Lynn and saw 105 Chris Bonner and 212 Frankie Wainman Snr qualify for his final World Final. 390 Stuart Smith Jnr won the race from the fourth row.
