Registration for new members is currently suspended
Thanks to repeated and abusive registrations by disruptive members (or, specifically, ex-members), Stoxnet is currently not accepting registrations from new members. Please do not email to ask that your new account registration be considered: the sad fact is that there have been so many repeat and abusive registrations that no new members will be accepted since every application received must be viewed with suspicion.
This is clearly a case of 'the few spoiling it for the many', but the truth is that there are enough idiots out there to have created sufficient problems that this extreme (but hopefully) temporary step is necessary to avoid complete closure of the forum.
Before you are able to post to the Stoxnet forum, you must first register. Registration takes 24-48 hours and is completed in three steps:
- Agree to rules and select a username
- You must visit http://forum.stoxnet.com and click "Register" in the pink bar along the top of the page.
- You will be shown copies of the current Membership Guidelines and Content Rules and must read them, and agree to them before being able to proceed.
- Complete the registration form by choosing a username and password, supplying your email address and correctly entering the security code.
- At this stage, you will be able to log into the forum but you will not be able to post messages.
- Automatic registration confirmation ("User validation")
- You will automatically receive an email from forum@stoxnet.com at the address you specified in step 1.
- If you do not see the email within 10 minutes, please check your email account's junk or spam filter. Add forum@stoxnet.com to your list of permitted senders ('whitelist') and if necessary, log into the forum and click the "Resend validation link" from the top of any page. If you don't receive the email, contact Stoxnet only if you have completed the steps above.
- The email you receive will contain a special link which you must click on to complete the 'User validation'.
- If you do not complete this step within 48hrs of registering, your account will be deleted and you will need to re-register.
- Once you have completed this process your new account will enter the 'Admin validation' queue.
- Manual account validation ("Admin validation")
- Usually 24hrs after your registration (and only if you have completed step 2), you will receive an email from daniel@stoxnet.com containing information about the Stoxnet website and a simple instruction which you must follow before your account is fully activated.
- Please allow two days for this email to be sent before contacting Stoxnet to chase it up. Emails are usually sent either before 9am or after 6pm on weekdays, so if you register on Friday evening you may not receive your email until Monday morning or evening.
- Only once your response has been received and manually processed will your account be fully activated and able to post.
- Account opening
- Once your response from step 3 has been received and processed, you will receive another email confirming that your account has been opened fully.
- You will now have full access to the forum and will be able to send/receive Personal Messages, reply to and create new forum topics, start your own blog, and upload your own photos to the gallery.
